Woman reported missing; was last seen near airport

Hawai'i County police are asking the public's help in finding a 48-year-old Kealakekua woman who failed to return home Monday.

Everdina Malasig was last seen about 1 p.m. Monday walking from Keahole Airport. She was wearing a black dress and no shoes.

She suffers from a medical condition and may require medication. She is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and about 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts to call officers Sheldon Nakamoto or Tyler Prokopec at 326-4646, extension 253, or the police department nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
