It's Filipino Fiesta day in Waikiki, with festivities planned from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The mid-morning highlight is a parade, with floats depicting scenes from Philippine history making their way from Fort DeRussy to Kapi'olani Park, along with street dancers, musicians and numerous cultural, community and civic groups marching along.

After the parade, the celebration continues at Kapi'olani Park, where visitors can find a regional cultural village, another village for keiki and entertainers from Hawai'i and the Philippines. Food will be available for purchase, along with products from various businesses and local entrepreneurs.

The culminating event is the Santacruzan, which features Filipino beauty queens representing historical and religious figures marching with their escorts in a candle-lit procession accompanied by children dressed as angels and musicians performing hymns.
