Series of workshops on rail stations starts tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

The first in a series of three community workshops on rail stations to be built along the upcoming transit routes will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kapolei High School.

City transit officials will seek input on the appearance of the stations. Follow-up workshops will be June 29 and Aug. 5.

The three stations will be in East Kapolei, near the future Department of Hawaiian Home Lands development and University of Hawai'i-West O'ahu campus and the proposed Ho'opili development.

The initial 6.5-mile segment of the transit route will run from Kapolei to Waipahu.

For more information on the workshops, contact the project office at 566-2299 or at info@honolulutransit.org.
