Charity walk Saturday will mean some roads will close

Advertiser Staff

The 13th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk on Kaua'i is scheduled for Saturday morning, and that means some streets in Lihu'e will be closed.

The walk begins at 7 at the Historic County Building, heads down Rice Street, turns left on Ho'olako Street, goes up Ka'ana Street, left on Kapuli Highway, left on Ahukini Road, and left on Umi Street before ending back at the County Building.

To accommodate the walk, Kaua'i police will close off Rice and Ho'olako streets for about 45 minutes starting at 6:45 am. Umi Street will be closed from about 6:45 am until the event is over.

Motorists must use alternate routes during the event.
