State cites four businesses, individuals for air pollution

The state Department of Health has cited four businesses and individuals for air pollution violations.

Cited were:
• Puna Rock Company Ltd. for failing to submit its semi-annual monitoring report for its crushing plant in Keaau, on the Big Island. The company paid a $2,600 fine for the violation.
•Thomas Taylor for burning green waste without a permit in Kilauea, Kaua'i. Taylor and the DOH are negotiating a proposed $3,100 penalty.
• Edwin DelLuz Trucking and Gravel LLC for various violations at its crushing plant in Hamakua on the Big Island. The company and the DOH are negotiating a proposed $6,300 penalty.
• Carbon Diversion for various violations at its Campbell Industrial Park facility on O'ahu. DOH imposed a $1,600 penalty.
