CBKB: Nevada lands another recruit with overseas ties

Associated Press

RENO, Nev. — Nevada's basketball team has landed another recruit.

Coach David Carter says 6-foot-6 wingman Patrick Nyeko is a guard but can play several positions for the Wolf Pack.

Nyeko moved to Madison, Wisconsin from London, England three years ago and spent the last two years at Seattle Prepatory School in Washington state. He averaged 14 points and 6.5 rebounds a game last season while helping Seattle Prep win a divisional championship with a 22-9 record.

He's the second player with overseas ties this week to sign a letter of intent to play for Nevada next season. The other is Marko Cukic, a 6-foot-9 power forward originally from Serbia.

Both will have four years of eligibility at Nevada.
