Hawaiian traditions of the sea will be explored in "Hawaiian Fishing Traditions," part of the aquarium's "Nana i ke Kai," or "Look to the Sea," series, 6:30-7:30 p.m. May 29 at the Waikiki Aquarium classroom. Dogs welcome at aqua: Aqua Hotels and Resorts' Continental Hotel will allow pet dogs that weigh less than 20 pounds to check in with their family. The hotel has set aside two pet-friendly floors. Besides a free treat on arrival for dogs, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout and a penthouse fitness room. Each guestroom comes with a coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. To keep the hotel safe and clean there is a $25 per night fee with a $100 deposit on arrival for pet owners, which is refundable upon checkout after inspection of the room.
