MLB: No anxiety this time as Willis leads Tigers past Rangers, 4-0

Associated Press

DETROIT — Dontrelle Willis earned his first victory with the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, allowing one hit while working into the seventh inning in a 4-0 win against the Texas Rangers.

Willis (1-0), the former All-Star who began the season on the disabled list because of an anxiety disorder, struck out five in 6 1-3 innings in his second start since coming off the DL.
The victory extended Detroit’s winning streak to four games and halted the Rangers’ seven-game winning streak.
Brandon McCarthy (3-2) allowed all four runs and nine hits in the seven innings for Texas.
Jeff Larish and Gerald Laird had sacrifice flies for the Tigers and Miguel Cabrera added an RBI double in the seventh.
