Kahului man being held in stabbing of female acquaintance

KAHULUI — A 32-year-old Maui man is in custody on charges he stabbed a female acquaintance.

Police said Tashi Farmer is accused of stabbing the 30-year-old victim approximately nine times in the torso and left arm. The woman is listed in stable condition at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
The incident was reported at 10:25 p.m. yesterday at a Kahului home.
Farmer is charged with second-degree attempted murder, with his bail set at $100,000.
