Kauai real estate executive pleads not guilty to theft charges

Advertiser Staff

A Kauai real estate executive pled not guilty to charges that he stole more than $1 million from four different victims, the state Attorney General’s Office announced today.

Jon F. Anderton, owner and president of Exchange Accommodators Inc., was charged with seven counts of first degree theft. Prosecutors allege that from May 2006 through September 2008 Anderton failed to make required payments of his clients funds.
Anderton, 53, of Anahola, is being held on $175,000 bail. His trial is scheduled for the week of Aug. 10 before Judge Kathleen Watanabe.
