Man, 32, held in stabbing of female acquaintance

A 32-year-old Maui man was in custody yesterday on charges he stabbed a female acquaintance.

Police said Tashii S. Farmer-Brown is accused of stabbing the 30-year-old victim about nine times in the torso and left arm. The woman was last reported in stable condition at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

The incident was reported at 10:25 p.m. Monday at a Kahului home.

Farmer-Brown was charged with second-degree attempted murder, with his bail set at $100,000.
