HIFF accepting entries for fall festival

The Hawaii International Film Festival is accepting entries for its Fall 2009 showcase. Films in any genre, including feature films, documentaries, short films, Hawai‘i-themed films, music videos and student films are being accepted.

Films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2008. Work that has had commercial, theatrical, or television play in the U.S., and feature films that have had any public or festival screenings in Hawai`i, are ineligible.
The festival runs from Oct. 15 to Oct. 25. Entry deadline is July 6. Entry fees range from $20-$70. Films one to 40 minutes in length are considered Short Films. Films 41 minutes or more are considered Feature Films.
Our short film categories include Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Pacific Panorama Short, Made in Hawaii, Student under 18, and Music Videos. Information on how to apply can be found by visiting www.hiff.org/entries.php.
