Jazzmin Awa-Williams, who led Konawaena to the 2007 state basketball title and played the past two seasons at Colorado-Colorado Springs, will play for Hawai‘i Pacific University’s women’s team.

HPU announced the signing of Awa-Williams and Courtney Buster in a release.
Awa-Williams averaged 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Mountain Lions and was named to the second team of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
“Jazzy is a tremendous all-around player who will be a huge addition to our team,” said HPU coach Jeff Harada. “She is a proven scorer at this level and her experience, toughness, and versatility will complement our young team well.”
Awa-Williams joins former Kona teammate Mana Hopkins on the HPU team.
The 6-foot-3 Buster played the past two seasons at City College of San Francisco, where she averaged 12.5 points, nine rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game and was a first-team North Coast Conference selection. She blocked eight shots in two different games.
