Tammy Duckworth, assistant secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs, will be among the dignitaries attending Memorial Day ceremonies Monday at the State Veterans Cemetery at Kane'ohe and at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

The Punchbowl ceremonies will start at 8:30 a.m. The Kane'ohe event will start at 1 p.m. Both are open to the public.

Duckworth is a graduate of McKinley High School and the University of Hawai'i.
