Repairs to begin on 7 roads in community, plus more later
Seven streets in Kailua will be repaired beginning early next month.
The roads are Ku'uala, Ku'upua, Ku'ukama, Ku'uhale and Ku'uniu streets; and Ku'uhoa and Ku'umele places.
The $842,000 project includes leveling the old pavement to prepare it for resurfacing, reconstruction of weakened areas and pavement marking.
Work is expected to be completed in November.
Other roads to be rehabilitated are Oneawa and Maluniu streets, Kainalu Drive and the makai portion of Ku'ulei Road. No start date was available for these streets.
