Kiefer Sutherland and the designer he is accused of head-butting say they've resolved their differences, clearing the way for the charges to be dropped.

Sutherland's representatives yesterday said that the actor is sorry about what happened and regrets Jack McCollough was injured. And the designer wished the "24" actor well.

Sutherland was charged May 7 with third-degree assault in the incident two weeks ago at a nightclub at the trendy Mercer Hotel in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. McCollough claimed Sutherland broke his nose after an argument following a star-studded gala.

Sutherland is due in court June 22 on the charge.

ELIZABETH TAYLOR TWEETS FROM HOSPITAL

Elizabeth Taylor is in the hospital, but she's well enough to communicate on Twitter.

A publicist for the 77-year-old actress says she "entered the hospital for a routine visit and is doing fine."

Spokesman Dick Guttman added that Taylor has "fallen in love" with the popular micro-blogging site and that she is trying to smuggle her new puppy into her hospital room. She tweeted yesterday, asking a friend to get the dog past hospital security.

CAROL COLE, SISTER OF NATALIE, DIES AT 64

Natalie Cole's sister, actress Carol Cole, has died. The cause of death has not been released. She was 64.

Natalie Cole's publicist, Maureen O'Connor, says Carol Cole died Monday, the same day Natalie received a kidney transplant.

The singer was by her older sister's side when she learned that a donor organ had become available.

Carol Cole, who went by the nickname Cookie, appeared on her father's "The Nat King Cole Show" on television in the 1950s and went on to appear on TV and in movies in the 1960s and '70s. Her credits include "Sanford and Son" and the 1974 movie "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three."

DOLLA SHOOTING SUSPECT PLEADS NOT GUILTY

An Atlanta event promoter accused of fatally shooting rapper Dolla pleaded not guilty yesterday to murder and two counts of assault.

Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, is accused of gunning down Roderick Anthony Burton II, known professionally as Dolla, and shooting at two other people in the Atlanta rapper's entourage Monday in the valet area of a popular Los Angeles mall.
