Hawaii Animal Sanctuary in need of help

The Hawaii Animal Sanctuary, which takes in abandoned and abused animals and shuns euthanasia, is planning a fundraiser to help with day-to-day expenses and such special needs as a washing machine and dryer and the services of a carpenter.

The fundraising white elephant sale will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13 at 603 Hahaione St. in Hawaçi Kai. All proceeds will go for animal care.
Also needed: cat and dog crunchies and canned food, dish soap and bleach, detergent, sponges and trash bags. Donations in funds or in kind will be accepted by this nonprofit organization.
