Nonprofit wins six months of social marketing coaching

Advertiser Staff

The Hawai'i chapter of the Social Media Club will provide six months of free social marketing coaching and support to Maui's Ma Ka Hana 'Ike Building Program. The Hana nonprofit group received the most votes among 15 entrants.

Ma Ka Hana Ka 'Ike Building Program is a hands-on learning program that substitutes textbooks and classroom work with construction tools and work experience. Its mission is to provide the youth of greater Hana, particularly at-risk students, with an alternative way to learn.

The Social Media Club was created to develop and share best practices and ethical standards for social media marketing. The Hawai'i chapter is part of an international organization based in San Francisco with more than 40 chapters worldwide. Go to www.smchawaii.org for meeting details and more information.
