$4 million released for Ke'ehi harbor improvements

Advertiser Staff

The governor has released $4 million for improvements to an undeveloped area on the south side of Keçehi Small Boat Harbor.

The money will pay for the design and construction of the project, aimed at helping increase the number of commercial leases at the harbor.
Upgrades will include new water, sewer and electrical utilities, a new bulkhead and roadway and parking improvements.
Design work is set to begin in October and wrap up by September 2010.
Construction will start in December 2010 and is expected to be completed in a year.
