Toys for Tots Hawaii giving big donors Tricycle Cups

Advertiser Staff

The Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots Hawaii drive is having its first Tricycle Cup competition Nov. 17 at Tamarind Park in Bishop Square.

Marines will collect donations from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band will perform a free concert from noon to 1 p.m. The three businesses whose employees donate the most to Toys for Tots will be recognized with Tricyle Cup trophies at a VIP reception on Nov. 19.
The 2009 Toys for Tots Hawaii effort kicks off Saturday, and given the tough economic climate, this year’s goal is higher than ever: 45,000 toys for distribution to less-fortunate keiki.
