Woman rescues grandchild from near-drowning in pool
A Kahalu'u woman is being credited with saving her grandchild from drowning yesterday.
The child encountered trouble in a swimming pool around 10:50 a.m., said Honolulu Fire Capt. Robert Main.
The child's grandmother pulled her from the water and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and had resuscitated the child by the time emergency crews arrived, Main said.
