High-surf advisory posted for north shores of Niihau, Kauai

The National Weather Service has issued a high-surf advisory for north-facing shores of Niihau and Kauai.
The advisory will remain in effect until 4 a.m. tomorrow.
The weather service says a short-period north swell has increased in water around Kauai.
Advisory-level wave faces of up to 15 feet are expected through the night before the swell diminishes tomorrow.
