Send in orders for annual Thanksgiving imu benefit

Advertiser Staff

Kailua High School is accepting orders for its annual Thanksgiving imu fundraiser. Families will be able to have their Thanksgiving turkey or other meats cooked in an imu at the school for a $15 fee.

The fundraiser will benefit the school's athletics programs.

Space is limited to the first 350 orders. People are asked to mail their reservation request, along with a $15 check made out to Kailua High School, to the school at 451 Ulumanu Drive, Kailua, HI 96734.

Write "Attention IMU" on the lower left corner of the envelope and include a telephone number and a stamped, self-addressed envelope for confirmation tickets. Multiple orders should include the name of each person ordering.

Each order allows a customer to cook a turkey and other foods in a large foil tray. Trays should be no more than 25 pounds of thawed food, sealed in heavy-duty foil.

People may drop off their trays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the school and pick them up Thanksgiving Day from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

For more information, call Todd Hendricks at 728-7389.
