19th annual Keiki Hula Competition set for November on Maui

Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, known for its aloha local style and its staff hula and music performances, will host the 19th "Hula O Na Keiki" children's dance competition Nov. 13 through 15.

Last year's competition was a sellout and tickets are said to be going fast. Events beging at 9 a.m. Nov. 13 and 14 with music and entertainment through the day, arts and crafts sales and cultural workshops. The hula competitionis from 5 p.m. Nov. 13 and from 2 p.m. Nov. 14.
Admission is $15 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under and there are $20 reserved seats and $25 premium seats as well.
More than $15,000 in cash and prizes are given out to children and opio (teenagers) who compete in both ancient and modern hula styles and also are interviewed by the judges panel.
