Gala honors McDonald House supporters

Advertiser Staff

The 2009 Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii (RMHC Hawaii) annual gala, “Share a Night,” set for Nov. 21, will honor the Kelley Family & Outrigger Enterprises Group.
The event is slated to feature special appearances by Andy Bumatai and The Society of Seven in honor of the Kelleys.
Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in 1987, the Kelley Family and Outrigger Enterprises have played a major support role by providing lodging for families when the Houses are full, or as an option for families staying just one or two nights on Oahu. This has allowed RMHC Hawaii to never turn away an eligible family-in-need.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii, a non-profit organization, offers support for families with seriously ill children by operating two Ronald McDonald Houses in Manoa Valley. Families from the neighbor islands and the Pacific region may stay there when they come to Honolulu seeking medical care for their children.
RMHC Hawaii also provides the Ronald McDonald House Family Room, a respite and support center inside Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
Event tables and individual seats are still available for purchase. Tickets: $225 per person; tables are available – Maile, $10,000; Ilima, $5,000; and Pikake, $3,000. To reserve tickets or a table or for more information, call 973-5683 ext. 239.
