The Aloha Stadium will open its turnstile gates at 3:30 p.m. instead of 2 p.m. for Saturday's University of Hawaii football homecoming game against Utah State.

The stadium personnel also is asking fans to behave responsibly.

“We had some challenges both in the parking lots and inside the stadium at our last UH game,” Aloha Stadium Manager Scott Chan said. “Some fans are not behaving responsibly and creating a negative experience for others. We are asking everyone to be responsible for themselves so everyone can enjoy the UH football game experience. We need everyone to know that we will not tolerate irresponsible behavior and are making operational adjustments to help alleviate these challenges.”

Tailgating rules will be enforced, including confiscating illegally erected tents in the parking lots. Fans will not be allowed to loiter in the parking lot after the game begins as law enforcement officers will be actively sweeping all parking lots. Security guards will also prevent fans from entering the stadium turnstiles if they appear to be too intoxicated.

The Honolulu Police Department will also be performing sobriety checks around the stadium after the game. Fans are asked to drink responsibly and use a designated driver.

The Lower Halawa Parking Lot (Gates 3 and 4) will open at 11:30 a.m. while all other lots (Upper Halawa, UH Reserved, and Kamehameha) will open at 12:30 p.m.

Alternate parking is also available at Radford High School, Kam Drive In, and Leeward Community College (LCC). Ford Island will not be available for this game, unless the attendance warrants usage.

Parking is FREE at LCC. Shuttle service is available for $2. Parking at Kam Drive In is $5 with FREE shuttle service. Parking is $5 at Radford High School, however, no shuttle service is available.

There will be no public parking available on the inner circle, except for the limited amount of ADA stalls. These ADA stalls will be open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking attendants will be asking for ADA placards and ADA issued identification cards. Guests who are unable to produce the placard and the ID card to match a person inside the vehicle will not be allowed to park in the ADA areas.

Centerplate will once again host the Aloha Zone in the grass area near the UPPER HALAWA LOT (near pole 29). The tailgate will be held under a large tent, televisions to watch other football games around the country, and entertainment. Admission is FREE to the public. A variety of food and beverages are available at reasonable prices. CHEVRON will also host the Family Fun Zone inside the Aloha Zone.
