Man arrested for using counterfeit bill in Hawaii Kai store

A 21-year-old Kaneohe man was arrested yesterday afternoon at a Hawaii Kai store after he allegedly tried to use a counterfeit $50 bill to buy several food items.

The manager examined the bill, determined it was counterfeit and called police.
The man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree forgery.
