Advertiser Staff

The Hawaiçi chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will tomorrow hold its annual fundraiser walk, starting at 8 a.m. in Kapiolani Park.
Also, there will be a screening of a documentary titled “Life for a Child,” which chronicles the lives of three kids in Nepal with type 1 diabetes and the struggles and sacrifices their families have to make to secure care and treatment. The film’s Hawaiçi premiere is set for 5:45 p.m. at Sunset on the Beach in Waikiki. The event is sponsored by Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals and JDRF Hawaiçi.
In addition, Honolulu Hale will be lit in blue light through the night to mark World Diabetes Day.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
