If Band Camp VII featuring The Fray at Waikíkí Shell isn't your style, you can still get your live-music fix Sunday night when Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina reunite at Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Loggins & Messina, also performing Saturday on Maui, may be one of the most overlooked, prolific duos in music history. They were the duo in the early 1970s, selling more than 16 million records (remember "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "A Love Song"?) before Hall &Oates stepped into the spotlight.

They split in 1976, reunited in 2005, and are now together again.

Here's our countdown of 10 things you probably forgot — or never knew —about Loggins & Messina:

10. When they started, Messina was the better known of the two. He was a former member of Buffalo Springfield and Poco. Loggins started as a staff songwriter who measured success by having the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band record his songs.

9. They released "Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina — Sittin' In" in 1971, and it stayed on the charts for two years.

8. Among their hits are "Lahaina," "Your Mama Don't Dance," "House at Pooh Corner," "Angry Eyes," "Vahevala," "Danny's Song," "A Love Song" and "Watching the River Run."

7. From 1971 to 1977 they released nine albums. When they reunited in 2005, they released "The Best: Sittin' In Again" and "Live: Sittin' In Again at the Santa Barbara Bowl."

6. Saturday's concert on Maui is their 51st of a 54-stop tour that started Aug. 20 in Hyannis, Mass.

5. After the duo split, Loggins became a movie soundtrack machine with hits like "I'm All Right" for "Caddyshack,""Footloose"for "Footloose," and "Danger Zone"for "Top Gun."

4. Loggins is one of the many stars who sang on the 1985 famine relief fundraising single, "We Are the World." His verse: "We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving." Among the stars on that release: Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Cindy Lauper, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie andTina Turner.

3.The children's CD, "Kenny Loggins — All Join In," was released earlier this year. "Underneath the Same Sky" is used in the Disney animated film "My Friends Tigger & Pooh: And a Musical Too."

2. On that sameCD, Messina joined Loggins for a duet on the old Beatles tune "Two of Us." It marked the first time they sang together on an album in more than three decades.

1. On their Web site, www.logginsandmessina.com, both say they are excited about the second-chance reunion after splitting in 1976 to carve out solo careers. "This reunion proves to me that anything is possible. Now we get to see where it goes from here," Loggins said.
