GORDON & JUNE ITO FOUNDATION

Cathy Iwai has been named executive director of the Gordon & June Ito Foundation, a newly established nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the next generation of nursing professionals in Hawai'i.

Iwai has been an executive assistant with the Ito Healthcare Group for the past nine years. She was administrative services coordinator with Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu and gained nonprofit management experience as executive director of the Hawaii Orthopaedic Association and Pan-Pacific Surgical Association.

KUAKINI HEALTH SYSTEM

Kuakini Health System recently welcomed back Quin Ogawa as vice president, fiscal services and chief financial officer. He began at Kuakini as a senior internal auditor and went on to serve as corporate auditor, accounting manager and controller. He had been at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu for the past two years.

THE GAS COMPANY

The Gas Company named Michael Kita division director supply and logistics. He is responsible for controlling and managing the statewide inventory of synthetic natural gas and propane. He now oversees gas manufacturing, acquisition, marine transportation and storage.

AQUA HOTELS

Aqua Hotels & Resorts recently appointed Gary Rohanna director of operations. He will oversee all guest service and operations functions.

Rohanna is the former general manager of Loews Beverly Hills Hotel. He began his career with Loews more than 14 years ago.

EVENTS INTERNATIONAL

Events International Inc. has hired Greg Johnson as director of catering sales and services. He was most recently vice president of operations/director of catering with Indigo Restaurant. Johnson will manage an alliance with Chef Chai Chaowasaree and Chai's Island Bistro. His presence will enhance the firm's ability to service corporate and private functions.

SIMPLY ORGANIZED

Simply Organized has appointed William Cabe operations manager. He will oversee the retail operation of the Kapolei store as well as any new Simply Organized stores. He was most recently inventory manager at Mobi PCS and was with ABC Stores for 20 years.

HAWAI'I NATIONAL BANK

Hawai'i National Bank has promoted Kai Austin from assistant manager to assistant vice president and manager of the Bishop Street branch.

Thomas Ishida has been named assistant vice president and manager of the new Kapi'olani branch. He was previously assistant manager of the main branch on King Street.

CHRISTIES BY THE SEA

Carol and Briggs Christie of Christies by the Sea, part of the Keller Williams Realty family of real estate professionals, welcomed Renee Rogers to their team. A licensed Realtor in Texas and Hawai'i, Rogers brings more than 21 years of real estate experience to the agency.
