Traffic was a nightmare for those coming in from the west side. A seven-car accident around 6 a.m. on H-1 Freeway east-bound between the Kaonohi and Kaamilo overpasses originally shut down four lanes on the busy six-lane highway. Shortly after 7 a.m., several lanes reopened and now five lanes are open to traffic. Only one lane remains shut.

However, the Zipper Lane was opened to all vehicles around 6:20 a.m., Department of Transportation spokeswoman Tammy Mori said.
Police are on the scene.
Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said there were no critical or serious injuries.
