Makaha man arrested after allegedly punching paramedic

Advertiser Staff

Police said a 46-year-old Makaha man was arrested last night after he punched a female paramedic who was trying to help him.

They said the woman and other emergency medical technicians were called about 7:40 p.m. to a bus stop at Makaha Valley Road and Farrington Highway in response to a report of an unconscious man.
The technicians were tending to the man when he “struck the female EMT in the face,” police said.
Police officers who were at the scene then subdued the man and arrested him on suspicion of felony assault.
