New cafe/martini bar an addition to Bethel Street

Advertiser staff

Restaurateur David Stewart’s Bambu 2.0 Coffee & Martini Bar has opened on 1144 Bethel St., in the space formerly occupied by Rred Elephant.
Like its sister establishment at Restaurant Row in the former Row Bar space, also named Bambu, the eatery will feature local roasted coffee, pastries and treats, salads and sandwiches, as well as premium martinis.
Stewart is also owner of Brasserie Du Vin and Bar 35, and formerly owned Indigo Eurasian Cuisine (chef Glen Chu is the current sole owner).
Other recent additions to the Arts District neighborhood include Manifest, a coffee shop and bar on Hotel Street, JJ Dolan’s, a pub across Bethel Street from the new Bambu. Also on Bethel Street: Floterior, offering unique floral arrangements, and Laughtrack Theater.
Bambu 2 is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
