State gets $1.24M in federal funding to promote 'green' jobs

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations said it has been awarded $1.24 million in federal funds to be used in developing an information bank to facilitate job training, job search and placement in “green jobs.”

The competitive grant authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act also can be used to identify such jobs, the skills needed and wages paid.
