Police arrest Maili woman as forgery-case suspect

Advertiser Staff

A 19-year-old Maili woman was arrested yesterday after a check-cashing company in Aiea told police the woman attempted to cash a forged check.

Police said a clerk at the check-cashing store told them the woman tried to cash a personal check about 10:30 a.m.
The clerk said he called a 41-year-old man on whose account the check had been drawn and was told by the account holder that the check had been stolen out of his checkbook.
The clerk called police who arrested the woman on suspicion of second-degree forgery and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.
