WAILUKU, Maui — Andrew Manley threw five touchdown passes before halftime to lead No. 3 Leilehua to a 48-12 win over Baldwin at War Memorial Stadium tonight.

The Mules (9-3) racked up 425 yards of offense and held the Bears (6-4) to just 185 yards to advance to Friday’s semifinal round of the Hawaiçi High School Athletic Association/First Hawaiian Bank Division I State Championships.
Leilehua, the Oçahu Interscholastic Association runner-up, will play ILH champion and second-ranked Kamehameha at 7 p.m. at Aloha Stadium on Friday.
Leilehua held a 14-6 lead with 3:55 left in the first quarter after a 39-yard field goal by Baldwin’s Ceejay Santos, but scored the next 27 points to surge to a 41-6 lead before the Bears got a late score.
Manley, who played sparingly in the second half, finished with 235 yards on 23-of-37 passing and no interceptions.
Leilehua senior receiver Kamana Akagi, who played for the first time since suffering a concussion against Kahuku on Nov. 6, had seven catches for 81 yards and three touchdowns.
It was the third time the teams met in the state tournament, with Leilehua winning each time.
Baldwin, the Maui Interscholastic League champion, played without standout receiver Ro Wilson, who was held out by head coach A.J. Roloos for disciplinary reasons.
Baldwin took a 3-0 lead on a 38-yard Ceejay Santos field goal on its first possession, but Leilehua went ahead on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Manley to Akagi later in the first quarter. The Mules increased it to 14-3 after Manley hooked up with Akagi on a 10-yard score after Baldwin fumbled on the kickoff return to give them possession at the Bears’ 32-yard line.
Santos booted a 39-yard field goal to close it to 14-6 with 7:20 left in the second quarter, but Leilehua scored 21 unanswered points to take a 34-6 lead at the intermission.
Akagi caught his third touchdown pass on a 3-yard strike from Manley to cap a quick-strike, four-play drive that took just 36 seconds off the clock. That score made it 21-6 with 7:20 left in the second quarter.
Baldwin went three-and-out on its ensuing drive, but the punt attempt on fourth down was mishandled and Leilehua took over on the Baldwin 4.
Manley found Fred Padrones on his first of two TD grabs on the very next play. Timothy Momiyama’s PAT made it 28-6.
Leilehua added a score just before the half on a 20-yard Manley pass to Padrones.
