SAN JOSE, Calif. — If you count yourself as a long-time University of Hawai'i football fan, you undoubtedly remember the days when head coach Dick Tomey helped make Aloha Stadium the place to be on Saturday nights between 1977 and 1986.

You recall the time UH battled eventual national champion USC well into the fourth quarter in 1978 and the painful loss to another eventual national titlist, Brigham Young, in 1984. Maybe you even remember his young son, Richie, carrying the headset cable on the sidelines.

In honor of Tomey's retirement from San Jose State at season's end and tomorrow's game against UH, we offer a refresher in Tomey Trivia to test your knowledge of the Tomey Era at UH.
