Advertiser Staff

A 59-year-old man died after he was found unresponsive in the swimming pool of the Brigham Young University Hawaii campus in Laie yesterday morning.

The city medical examiner identified the man as William Hsu of Laie. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday to determine the cause of death.
Police said the man was a daily swimmer at the pool and was found unconscious by a lifeguard at about 6:45 yesterday morning. The man was removed from the water and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have classified the case as an unattended death pending the outcome of the autopsy.
