Police have arrested a 38-year-old Makakilo man on suspicion of abuse of a family member and criminal property damage after a family fight Friday night.

According to a police report:

The man was having a fight at about 8 p.m. with his wife and assaulted her. She then left with their children in her car. The wife's sister also left in another car.

Police said the husband gave chase in his car, deliberately collided with his wife's car and her sister's car, and then attacked his wife, choking her.

The police were called and the man fled. He was found and arrested.

The wife was treated at a hospital.
