Technology News Bytes has appointed Quincy Solano president and chief operating officer. Solano is a veteran of the local information technology industry and founder of Hue Magazine.

YWCA OF O'AHU

Elizabeth Aulsebrook has joined the YWCA of O'ahu as director of membership. She was previously with Kamehameha Schools' strategic planning and implementation group, served as director of fund development for the Girl Scout Council of Hawai'i and Institute for Human Services, and was branch director for the Armed Services YMCA.

CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY CENTER

Lincoln Jacobe, founder and CEO of Hawaii Pacific Entertainment, a Honolulu-based communications, technology and events company, has been appointed to the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center board of directors. [0x0b]

PAGODA HOTEL

The Pagoda Hotel and Terrace has named John Dailey director of sales. He was previously director of sales and marketing at Hilo Hattie, on staff with HRI Inc., Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, and sales manager at the Kona Surf Resort on Hawai'i Island.

KUAKINI HEALTH SYSTEM

Kuakini Health System has appointed Stephen Foster manager of Cardiac Catheterization Services. He has 20 years of experience in the field and joined the Kuakini team as a cardiac cath technologist in June 2009.

DAMON KEY LEONG KUPCHAK HASTERT

Two new attorneys have joined Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert as associates.

Elizabeth Burroughs, who interned with the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau and the U.S. District Court in Hawai'i, practices in the firm's Real Estate and Construction Practice and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.

Cherise Boyce earned a fellowship in Native Hawaiian law from the Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law and worked at the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. She practices in the firm's Estate Planning and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.

SHARON SERENE CREATIVE

James Nakamura has been promoted to art director at Sharon Serene Creative. He is responsible for the visual and production direction of materials for all agency clients, including Kahala Mall and Hawaii Kai Towne Center, and oversees design production of the Retail Merchants of Hawaii e-newsletter.

Kristin Herrick is now an account executive as well as graphic designer for the firm. She serves Reyn's, Reyn Spooner, The Slipper House and the Hawaiian Humane Society, and does graphic design for all other agency accounts.
