H-1's west-bound School Street on-ramp closed today

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation is reminding drivers about the closure of the west-bound H-1 Freeway School Street on-ramp through today, from 4:30 a.m. to 2 p.m..

The closure is needed for repair of the retaining wall.

During ramp closure hours, west-bound motorists wanting to access H-1 are advised to use alternate on-ramps such as Vineyard Boulevard.

The work is part of a $2.5 million state-funded project to improve drainage facilities on the H-1 west-bound School Street off-ramp and to extend and add new facing to the retaining wall at the west-bound on-ramp.

Electronic message boards will be posted near the construction area.
