Mobi PCS opening store in Nänäkuli

Mobi PCS will open its latest store tomorrow in Nänäkuli.

The 330-square-foot store, on Farrington Highway next to Fastop, will be managed by Kevin Parmenter, who also manages the Mobi store in Kapolei.

Store hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As a part of the opening, Mobi is offering a one-day Black Friday special at all its stores in which a $249 Motorola QA30 phone will be available for $129 after an $80 mail-in rebate.

With the Nänäkuli addition, Mobi has eight stores on O'ahu with about 100 employees.

LAU RE-ELECTED TO BOARD OF SEATTLE BANK

Russell J. Lau, chief executive officer of Finance Factors Ltd., has been re-elected to a four-year term on the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle.

The bank is one of a dozen Federal Home Loan Banks that provide liquidity, funding and services to member financial institutions.

The Seattle bank serves commercial banks, credit unions, thrifts, industrial loan corporations and insurance companies in Alaska, Hawai'i, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, as well as in the U.S. territories of American Sämoa and Guam and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

KAUA'I FARMERS OFFERED EMERGENCY LOANS

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency has announced an emergency loan program for Kaua'i farmers who suffered losses from storms in November.

The loans are available for losses from rain, flooding, landslides and high winds that occurred from Nov. 13 to 15.
