Twenty woodworkers will be at Martin & MacArthur from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at a book launch party for “Contemporary Hawaii Woodworkers, the Wood, the Art, The Aloha” by Tiffany De Ette Shafto and Lynda McDaniel.

The book pays tribute to 36 of Hawaii’s master wordworkers — furniture-makers, sculptors, word turners and carvers — and its launch also marks the beginning of a monthlong exhibit and sale of work from woodworkers featured in the book.
