Three-vehicle crash on H-1 causes early-morning gridlock

Traffic on all east-bound lanes of H-1 Freeway is backed-up from the Aiea/Moanalua Freeway off-ramp.

An early-morning crash involving three vehicles caused gridlock on H-1 Freeway near Aiea today.

The crash happened shortly after 4:30 this morning and led to all east-bound lanes being closed as police redirected traffic onto the Aiea/Moanalua Freeway off-ramp.
By 6, traffic was backed up as far as Kunia.
Tow trucks were brought in and all lanes of the freeway were reopened shortly after 6.
There were no reports of serious injury.
