Keiki festival today at Hawaii’s Plantation Village

Hawaii’s Plantation Village is hosting a free keiki festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today as part of its ongoing Relive the Plantation Days series.

The annual festival includes keiki hula, Portuguese and Okinawan dance and a hip-hop meets traditional Filipino dance performance by the Tekniqlingz Crew, arts and crafts, and a chance to explore the museum. Food samples include keiki plantation-era desserts (such as a cracker with condensed milk), takuan sushi, sweet potato mochi, Filipino palitao, Korean soong peong and Portuguese cookies.
Children will be able to play plantation games such as lasso the steer, feed the mongoose, slingshot, marble pachinko and a malassada throw for prizes.
