Dress up in ’80s attire and head to Kamiloiki Park in Hawaii Kai today to watch the Hawaii Pacific Roller Derby take on the San Diego Derby Dolls in a fast-paced, full-contact interleague bout.

“The Whip It Good” event starts at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door, or $8 for those in ’80s wear. Children 12 and under are free. A 21-and-older after-party starts at 9 p.m. at Anna Bannana’s and is free for anyone dressed in ’80s costume and $5 for everyone else.
Formed in February 2008, the “skater operated, skater owned” Hawaii Pacific Roller Derby all-female flat-track roller derby league has almost 30 skaters, and new members are always welcome, along with referees, coaches and other volunteers to help grow the league and spread it to the Neighbor Islands.
