UH Football: Warriors to schedule more games against Washington

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai‘i and Washington will announce an extension of their football series, UH athletic director Jim Donovan confirmed today.

The Huskies played at Aloha Stadium in 2007 and UH is scheduled to appear in Husky Stadium in 2011.
It is believed the extension will start with 2012 and also be a home-and-home arrangement, although Donovan declined comment pending a joint announcement by the two schools. The announcement could come as soon as today.
UH coach Greg McMackin has said he favors playing the Huskies becasue it will help the Warriors with recruiting in the Seattle area. UW has also recruited in Hawaii‘i, where current Huskies’ coach Steve Sarkisian has been a frequent visitor.
UH and UW have met three times with UH hold a 2-1 edge.
