CFB: Oklahoma QB Bradford hopes to play this season

Associated Press

NORMAN, Okla. — Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford says surgery remains a possibility to repair his sprained right shoulder, depending on how his recovery goes.

Bradford said Tuesday he hopes he can play Saturday against Baylor (3-1) to get a game under his belt before the annual rivalry battle against No. 2 Texas.
Bradford said he still intends to try to come back this season, and he’s still holding out hope that the 19th-ranked Sooners (2-2) could get back into the national championship race if they win out.
Bradford has missed Oklahoma’s last three games with a sprained AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder. He says he isn’t concerned that he would re-injure the shoulder, but won’t return until he can go through practice without having lingering soreness.
