Advertiser Staff

A late-night fire damaged a warehouse at Ace Auto Glass in Kalihi.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said firefighters responded to a rubbish fire in a trash container outside Ace Auto Glass at 2250 Kamehameha Highway at 11:23 p.m. last night.
The first company at the scene extinguished the rubbish fire, then noticed a fire in the warehouse and called for additional units.
Firefighters entered the warehouse and had the fire contained by 11:52.
As of 3 a.m., the fire was still smoldering in a storage area containing tall steel shelves holding cardboard boxes stacked on wooden pallets. Firefighters were using a forklift to remove the pallets.
No one was in the warehouse when the fire broke out. There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of fire is under investigation. No damage estimate is available.
