Advertiser staff

Kids Fest, organized by the Bone & Joint Center at Straub, is scheduled to take place 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Bishop Museum. The free event promotes exercise, nutrition, injury prevention and drug awareness.
Interactive health education workshops and a meet-and-greet with 2008 Olympic decathlon gold medalist Bryan Clay are planned, along with activities for children.
The event will be preceded by Kapiçolani Medical Center for Women & Children’s Newborn Special Care Reunion, open to NICU “graduates” and their families from the past 10 years, 9 a.m. at the museum. The reunion also commemorates Kapiolani Medical Center’s 100th anniversary.
